Continents and Oceans

In the world, there are 6 continents. They are Asia, Africa, America, Europe, Australia, and Antartica.
In the world, there are also 4 oceans. They are Pacific, Atlantic, Indies, And Arctic.

EUROPE

Europe is located at the west side of Asia. Ural Mountain is the border between Europe and Asia. In geology, Europe and Asia is called Eurasia. In geography, actually Europe isn't a continent. Europe considered as continent because it has a great role in the world. the area of Europe is about 10.300.000 kms square.
the border of Europe is :
North : Arctic Ocean
East : Ural Mountain & Black sea
South : Africa
West : Atlantic Ocean

Pacific Ocean

Pacific Ocean is the widest ocean in the world. The area of Pacific Ocean is about 165.000.000 kms square.
It's located among Asia, Australia, and America.
In the pacific ocean, there are many kinds of volcanoes. so, earthquake often happen there.
in pacific ocean, exactly in Bering Sea ( North Pacific ), there are Kurosyiwo and Oyasyiwo currents which cause warm current. ( Kutosyiwo is hot current, and Oyasyiwo is cold current ).

Atlantic Ocean

Atlantic Ocean is the second widest ocean in the world.
the area of Atlantic Ocean is about 82.400.000 kms square. Atlantic Ocean is located among Europe, Africa, and America. So, Atlantic Ocean is the trafficlane between old world and new world.
Atlantic Ocean is located at the west longitudinal. In the Atlantic Ocean, there are natural phenomenons called El Nina and La Nino.
In the Atlantic, exactly in the east sea of America, there is a Bermuda Triangle. It's very famous because of its great gravitation.

Indies Ocean

Indies Ocean is the third widest ocean in the world. the area of Indies Ocean is about 73.400.000 kms square.
Indies Ocean is located at the east longitudinal. Indies Ocean is used as the traffic because storm rarely happen.

Arctic Ocean

Arctic Ocean is the narrowest ocean in the world. the area of Arctic ocean is about 14.100.000 kms square.
the inventor of Arctic Ocean is Robert Edwin Peary. He invented Arctic Ocean in 1909.
in the Arctic Ocean, there are Eskimo people who live in Iglos.
Arctic Ocean is located at the North Pole. Arctic Ocean is the coldest ocean in the world. Arctic ocean consists of ice sea which is always frozen every time.

PERANCIS

Perancis yang memiliki nama resmi Republique Francaise merupakan negara terluas di Eropa Barat. Negara ini dikenal dengan sebutan negri Mode Dunia. Ibu kota Perancis adalah Paris yang disebut kota Cahaya.
o Letak dan batas negara
Perancis termasuk ke dalam wilayah Eropa Barat. Luas wilayahnya adalah 547.030 km2. Letak astronomis Perancis adalah 42 LU – 51 LU dan 5 BB – 8 BT. Berikut adalah batas-batas negara Perancis : Utara : Selat Inggris, negara Inggris, Belgia, dan Luxemburg. Timur : Negara Italia, Swiss, dan Jerman. Selatan : Negara Spanyol. Barat : Samudra Atlantik.
o Bentang alam
Sebagian besar daratan di Francis merupakan dataran rendah dengan 2/3 bagiannya memiliki ketinggian kurang dari 250 m. dataran rendah ini memanjang dari perbatasan Belgia hingga Jerman. Perancis secara umum terbagi atas beberapa bagian berikut :
a. Cekungan Paris ( basin ) Central atau yang dikenal sebagai Masif Central. Massif Central merupakan sebuah simpul dari lipatan pegunungan dan terletak di tengah-tengah hingga ke Selatan Perancis.
b. Pegunungan Alpen, Jura, dan Vosges yang berada di sebelah barat. Di pegunungan Alpen terdapat Mount Blanc ( 4.807 m ) yang merupakan puncak gunung tertinggi di Eropa Barat.
c. Pegunungan Pyrenees yang memanjang antara perbatasan Spanyol dan Perancis.
d. Lembah sungai Roun dan Laut tengah.
o Iklim
Perancis memiliki berbagai macam iklim. Di selatan Perancis bila tiba musim panas, cuaca menjadi panas dan kering. Hampir seluruh daratan Perancis mendapat curah hujan tahunan sekitar 500 – 1.200 m. Temperatur udara tahunan sekitar 90 C – 19,50 C. Daerah pegunungan di Perancis umumnya tertutup salju sepanjang tahun. Di daerah barat, sering terjadi hujan karena pengaruh samudra Atlantik.
o Penduduk
Jumlah penduduk di Perancis pada tahun 2006 sekitar 61.200.000 jiwa dengan kepadatan penduduk sebesar 107 jiwa/km2. Perancis memiliki pertumbuhan penduduk sebesar 0,3 % per tahun. Suku bangsa di Perancis sebagian besar adalah suku Perancis ( 95 % ), kelompok etnis lainnya adalah imigran yang mencari pekerjaan. Mereka datang dari Portugis, Aljazair, Maroko, Italia, dan Spanyol. Bahasa resmi Perancis hádala bahasa Perancis. Bahasa ini merupakan bahasa kedua setelah bahasa Inggris. Agama yang dianut masyarakat Perancis terdiri atas agama Katholik Roma ( 90 % ), Protestan ( 2 % ), Yahudi ( 1 % ), Islam ( 1 % ), dan agama lain ( 6 % ).
o Perekonomian
a. Pertanian Hasil-hasilnya antara lain tanaman seperti gandum, barli, dan padi. Perancis termasuk negara penghasil gandum terbesar di dunia, yang banyak dihasilkan di Cekungan Paris, dan Flandre. Hasil pertanian lainnya yaitu anggur. Perancis termasuk negara kedua terbesar penghasil anggur di dunia.
b. Pertambangan Hasil-hasilnya antara lain bijih besi, bauksit, gypsum, timah, magnesium, sulfur, uranium, zinkum, dan batubara serta minyak bumi. Perancis termasuk negara penghasil baja terbesar di dunia.
c. Perindustrian Perancis terkenal dengan industri otomotif, pesawat terbang, industri kimia, dan elektronik.
